New ways to stay connected!

Hey ho everyone!
It's been a while since I've posted on here but there have been a lot of weird changes going on here. Due to COVID-19,my convention schedule has been royally gutted for the near future and as a result I've taken my live shenanigans to the digital world! One of the most important worlds, I'm streaming on TWITCH now!

You can follow me on twitch, I'm pretty random when it comes to streaming but I think it's pretty obvious that there is going to be a focus on two things: art and fighting games. I also have a discord server that I will post down here as well:
In terms of art, thee won't be many changes in the near future. As ever, the Mihaps of Dan will wrap up the current wedding story line in MISHAPS OF DAN COMIC 200! It's a fun ending for sure and after that the sky's the limit. Surely, if I continue MoD it will be on a less intensive level. I do want to start promoting my other comics and ideas along with MoD.

Plans for the End of the Year

Hi everyone! Timberking here with a brand new update! Barring the random and unplanned appearance at AnimeNYC that happened last week, I don't have any more public appearances at conventions until next year. In terms of the end of year and content, I'm going to be returning to the Mishaps of Dan comic and the current wedding arc, while finishing up the Inktober series for my solo comic project, Specter Skelter. I'm still debating whether or not I'm going to do a posting of all 31 images and animations because that consists of a large range of content that might be a little overwhelming to keep in order.
I have a few plans for other original artwork and ideas that I'm going to be putting together in the near future as well that relate to a few of my current original illustration projects. I'm debating animating these as well because the artwork is simple enough to do so. Other than that, I'm going to be posting a commission from the convention (which might lead to a public opening of commissions for the first time in YEARS!) and I'll keep trotting along with more of the "Car Crash Reception" wedding storyline in the meantime! Expect possible double features for the next few weeks as I catch with lost time due to the detour into the Belmont Blunders for the entirety of October.
I should really start putting together a new physical book, akin to MoD: The Greatest Hits. Especially since I'm approaching the 175 comic mark...

Inktober Promos and MoD Updates

Hi everyone!
It's timberking again and I have some pretty exciting news regarding Inktober this month. Instead of the usual ink drawing per day or the watercolor washes, I'm going to be shooting for FULLY animated drawings using some After Effects magic and tightly arranged psd files. These are going to be done to promote the posting of the comic project: Specter Skelter that I sell at conventions. I will start posting the first comic in all of it's entirety at the end of the month/The beginning of November to compliment the Inktober segments. I'll also post the Inktober drawings here and along with them any of the animated gif versions should they come up. Some of the stuff I've been able to do so far has already gotten me fired up to soldier through the rest of the month with daily content.
In terms of The Mishaps of Dan, because it's in the middle of a storyline, I will either slow or halt production of the comic for now through the month of October. If I can't get the full comic pages out per week, I'll either double up for double feature weeks OR do double feature week for the good chunk of November to catch up on the "Car Crash Wedding Reception" story arc. Weekly updates might be put on the back burner, although I do have something special planned for October for weekly comic content in the meantime. It's not a Street Fighter parody, but it sure is a PARODY and I think you guys'll like it. I'm looking forward to this month being a pretty involved and busy Inktober with peaks and troughs to boot.

Instagram, Twitter, Conventions, Oh My!

Hi everyone! It's timberking again and I have some new announcements such as my appearances at Connecticon '19 at Hartford, Connecticut at the convention sent next week July, 12-14! In addition I will be at Terrificon also in Connecticut in August (9th-11th)! I will have more shows coming up in the fall that I will announce as the dates come up. As for art, as ever COMMISSIONS ARE OPEN! and I will be posting art regularly as I normally do. The Mishaps of Dan has been updating weekly and will continue update by the week! The comic also has a brand new INSTAGRAM page for sharing posts of the old comics remastered as well as gags and memes! I now also have new forms of staying in the news with my social media below!

The Mishaps of Dan return Returns!

Lol I wanted to write a new journal for a while now that the 2018 con season is done and I just came back from a pretty fun MagFest2019! FIRST OF ALL, HAPPY NEW YEAR! It's always great celebrating the holidays and stuff with friends and family in my neck of the woods. And second, I want to point out that this year I will probably be doing my con appearance list by month or so as they come up. I'm not 100% sure of where I'll be featured just yet and I still need to iron out those kinks as the year goes on! The next place you can catch me is the Comics Bar Con at Farmingdale, Long Island, NY in February! It's a pretty casual convention that's one day and very chill!
Onto business: I will be posting new artworka and hopefully commissions from all of my conventions from last year and this year along with the complete collection of my Inktober art. I have a lot of content that I've posted over on my Twitter page and my other social media that I need to also post here! In terms of the Mishaps of Dan, the keen viewers might notice that there has a been a huge bump up of content since September because the comic is back in full force with WEEKLY updates!
Join Dan with his new band of friends, Ike and Lucina as they maneuver the new and strange world of Super Smash Brothers! A lot of the old cast will return as see fits and there are more new characters to be featured! It was for the best rebooting the series since the degradation of a Dan's character ran its course and was getting rather depressing to write. But now, that Dan has got into Super Smash Brothers with the help of the Super Crown and faking his identity, he's in with the in crowd!! Reunited with his meatheaded-jock-best-friend, Ike, Dan promises to help his buddy win back the heart of his old sweetheart, Lucina right smack in a goth phase that leaves her glum and pessimistic about everything. Nonetheless, she reluctantly hangs out with the guys, seeing that she's unpopular with the other Nintendo employees. Dan and his new Saikyo squad learn the ropes of Super Smash Brothers, train practice and even make a few enemies on the way...
The comic itself will indeed receive weekly updates and when there isn't a comic there will be special DOUBLE feature the next week! In addition, there will be new artwork in general that'll also be featured on this page too!
